Evaluation Step-By-Step: How to Assess Project Impacts

How do I know that my project is successful? Evaluations offer a way of analyzing information about a project’s activities, characteristics, and outcomes in a structured manner.

In this course, the steps of an evaluation are illustrated based on Citizen Science examples and are translated by the participants directly to their own projects. Through the step-by-step application of the evaluation methodology, questions and ambiguities can be addressed directly in the course.

Learning objectives Participants
  • know the basics of planning and implementing evaluations
  • have a repertoire of different approaches and (participatory) methods that can be used in evaluations
  • develop first parts of an evaluation concept themselves
  • know the most important standards to be observed when planning and implementing evaluation
Instructors Dr. Annette Jenny, ZHAW
