On 7 December, 2023, the kick-off of the Seed Grant project "The oral microbiome" took place at the University of Zurich. In a partnership between the Kantonsschule Wattwil and the University of Zurich, this project enables young people to explore the oral microbiome across different generations and to gain valuable experience. Two students report on the day and their impressions at the University of Zurich.
Once a year we award Seed Grants for the development or implementation of participatory Citizen Science projects. With the Grants we promote the participation and involvement of citizens in science and research and enable the implementation of innovative research projects. Teams of academic researchers from the University of Zurich or ETH Zurich and citizens can jointly submit their project ideas now until 3 March, 2024.
