Once a year we award Seed Grants for the development or implementation of participatory Citizen Science projects. Teams of academic researchers from the University of Zurich or ETH Zurich and citizens can jointly submit their project ideas now until 2 March, 2025.
With the Seed Grants we promote the participation and involvement of citizens in science and research and enable the implementation of innovative research projects. Priority is given to project applications that, in addition to the prospect of excellent research, show a societal benefit as well as a high degree of participation in as many phases of the research process as possible.
Teams of at least two persons are eligible to apply: an academic researcher working at UZH or ETH and a citizen. Applications can be submitted for up to 40'000 CHF. The funds must be used within 12 months of the start of funding. Deadline for project applications is 2 March, 2025, 23:59. The decision will be made and communicated in May 2025. The funded projects will then start individually until the end of 2025.
