Healthy living is a complex challenge that requires aligned co-operation, both at systemic and individual levels. The NEST ("NEw form of governance in Societal Transition for healthy lifestyle") Innovation Alliance co-creates a new form of social innovation ecosystem that acts as a sustainable vehicle for societal transitions towards healthy living. The aim is to empower local communities to thrive with social innovation towards a healthy society.

Citizen Science Zurich is leading the work on "engaged community science" (Workpackage 5) to investigate how the variety of stakeholders can be fully engaged in the new social innovation ecosystem, and how to grow and maintain collective agency of stakeholders. In particular, we will be developing guidelines on Citizen Science as an embedded research in the new social innovation ecosystem and co-creating an implementation and facilitation methodology for stakeholder engagement.
